My Morning Routine and The Newsette

How you start your day is important. My morning routine is unlike any of yours. I hope yours is not like mine. I wouldn’t wish waking up at 3:30 AM every morning on anyone. I am new to broadcasting… in radio world at least. I went to my first radio conference and I remember one of the nationally known morning show hosts saying she got in her car with her towel on her head and her blow dryer in her bag. I thought I was doing pretty bad when I decide not to put makeup on…. I usually read the articles I need to know for the morning show and pick out what to wear the next day before bed the night before. When I wake up I turn off my alarm and turn on some music. This helps me with the thoughts running through my head about, “why am I waking up at 3:30 AM? Am I crazy?”. I don’t even make coffee before I leave the house. I change, brush my teeth, grab a lunch and run.

That’s my morning. If you want to call it that…

After the four-hour-long morning show, you are probably just starting your day. This is when I take a quick break, maybe chat with some co-workers, grab a bagel, make my third cup of coffee. I also catch up on all things The Newsette. I love this newsletter. Being on a morning show I do hear and read a lot of tough stories and I appreciate how The Newsette brings the information you need to wake up to. I have been subscribed to The Newsette for almost a year now. If you haven’t you can check it out yourself.

The Newsette was started by Daniella Pierson. She is only 22-years-old! She grew up helping her family’s car business and learned what it takes to run a company. She said the Newsette started with an idea. She sent out her first typo-filled newsletter to eight people and hasn’t looked back. I love the Newsette because it starts with positive stories in the news, fun fashion items, and an article of a successful woman’s start to her day. Inspiration in your inbox.

There you have it, my morning routine. Kinda crazy, not normal. Wouldn’t recommend it… Well, all but The Newsette. I would recommend reading that. And here’s the big news!

They just launched their first website TODAY! And you are the first to know.
