I have a fun story for you. One time I was in band. Not a band. That would be cool. #bucketlist! No, I was in a school band and played the xylophone, harp and sometimes the triangle. True story. I have played instruments and can read a bit of music theory.
I was reminded of my band days since seasons are changing and my life season has been changing too. The thing with rhythm is even in the tricky, hard parts of reading music you have to still be consistent. When I practiced sheets of music I would circle the hard parts and go over those parts more. You can tell which pieces of music I have spent hours on. The pages are so colorful. Each tricky part had a million and one markups, pencil scribbles, and highlighter over it. Those difficult sections of music set the pace for the rest of the song. What I mean by that is I would go extra slow on the easy, less challenging portions of music so that when I hit a difficult section I was prepared to still be consistent.
That’s how life is. Even if you are going through a calm season in life it doesn’t hurt to start pacing yourself for those times when life will be a little more challenging. Every season changes. I’ve heard it said once if you aren’t coming out of a storm you are probably going into one. Pacing your life can come in handy for those busy days when you have to roll up your sleeves and be a boss.
Happy First Day of Spring! My dress is from Free People and so are my scrunchies. My scarf is from Target and I’ll try to link one similar. My shoes are the perfect booties. The pointing toe gives me the extra length I need. They are from Nordstrom Rack. Below I am going to link my four favorites this spring: Big hoops, scrunchies, boho dresses and booties.
