In the early 2000s it was cool to wear a white distressed jean skirt fro Hollister? There were always two problems in the way of me wearing those skirts. 1) my mom. 2) the fact that the skirt cost way to much.
Well the look is back but even better this time. For two reasons. 1) my mom doesn’t disprove because the skirt is longer and high wasted. 2) you can DIY a thrifted skirt into the look you want!
Here’s what you need to do:
Step 1 find a skirt from the thrift. You want a longer skirt. Cut off the bottom of the seam to desired length. Don’t worry about a straight cut
Step 2 pull at the bottom of the skirt that you just cut. You want the fabric to fray
Step 3 cut desired holes in the skirt. I like this two straight cuts on the side but you can also cut a rounded hole.
Step 4 take pictures looking adorable.
