I am a painter. I love color. I like to add a weird color to a scene until it makes sense. I appreciate well added colors when I see a great combo. When I saw ATUA Jewelry on Instagram I really felt inspired by their jewelry. Like I said before, my jewelry usually means more to me than another piece in my jewelry box. I usually have a good story to go along with the piece.
A good example is the bead necklace I am wearing. I traveled to Alaska and bought this in the only mall I visited. I chatted with the store owner because she makes her own jewelry and I admire that so much. Ironically, I bought the only piece of jewelry in the store that was from her home country. The story gets better when I find out she is from the Philippines. At the time it didn’t mean much to me. I only tried to imagine what it would feel like to marry someone and follow him to a place like Alaska. I could barely place the Philippines on the map. However, the story came full circle when exactly a year later, during Spring Break, I went to the Philippines for two weeks. Who would have known?
Anyways, the lovely earrings I am showing off are handmade in Latvia. The style of jewelry is called soutache. Latvia is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe. I love Europe. I also love the earrings. They are a gift from ATUA Jewelry. You can follow their Instagram @ATUA_JEWELRY. They ship worldwide and on their sight it says “In love with colors”. If you are in love with colors like I am and my friends in Latvia then I would look for ATUA jewelry.
My two words for this outfit is COLORFUL and CONNECTING
