When I was in LA my friend Jess told me I HAD to go to this thrift store. We were in Anaheim CA, not far from Disney Land. So we got some sushi in a bowl, which is great by the way, and went to Rare, a store owned by GoodWill. The front of the store does not look like a thrift store, but it totally was. Inside there were vintage everything. The store’s room decor was also thrifted. The dressing rooms were plastered with vintage newspaper articles about GoodWill in the 1950s. It was so cute! This makes shopping even more fun! Literally, lights were old televisions. It doesn’t get cooler than that.
I found a wonderful J.Crew pleated skirt that still had the tags on. When you can find thrift clothes like that at a specific store you know you’ve found a great place to add to your google maps places. Unfortunately, I am too short for the skirt #shortgirlproblems. Another thing to pay attention to is how well the thrift store is organized. If it is organized you know they have looked through and sorted the clothes with attention to detail. I hate it when I buy a top and later find out it has a hidden hole right under the arm. Usually, a well organized thrift store are less likely to have a piece with hidden holes. Anyways… I give Rare a big thumbs up!
Check out their website! Happy thrifting!
