I watch YouTube like some of you watch TV. I was watching my favorite YouTuber, Megan Batoon. Megan is hilarious, smart and she has a fashion blog along with everything else she does. I have caught myself watching her videos and walking at the same time. I don’t know why I think I can multitask like that. In her March favorites video she talked about buying a certain type of hoodie…
I decided to try it out.
I bought a men’s hoodie from Hanes. Megan did it.
I love it. I paired my grey hoodie with a top from H&M and my Anthropologie jeans. When in the city you are constantly fighting comfy and stylish. I love being comfy and sitting on the L. The L is a train system here in Chicago. I have so many stories about taking rides on the L. When I was in college I hardly ever took a taxi or Uber or Lift. I always took the Red Line or the Brown… Sometimes the Pink, but only if I took it on accident. The Cubs stadium and the Sox stadium are both on the Red Line, but on opposite ends of the city. I once was talking to a friend on the phone while taking the L to the North side. Again, I thought I could multitask. I looked around at one point, knowing I should have passed the Addison stop, which is where the Cub’s Stadium is. What I found was that I had been going the complete opposite direction and ended up at the Sox stadium in the South Side.
When I get off the L I want to look my best. You never know who you are going to meet. I remember when I first moved to the city. I felt like everyone was watching me. The shocking thing is that no one is really watching you. Everyone is going about their day. I think it is just a shock to be around so many people at the same time. Still to this day I do like a good pair of jeans and heels to give me a boost of confidence to go along with my “city walk”.
My jeans are like my favorite. The cut off and patch work makes these jeans. You can put them with heels, boots, or sneakers. Check out this DIY I did awhile back on who to create this look out of vintage Levi jeans.
Whether you wear a hoodie or heels make sure you look where you are going.
