I moved back to the city! YAY! I had been commuting from the suburbs into Chicago for my job and now I finally moved back to city life. There are a few problems about the winter in the city. The first is paying for the heat bill. But that’s anywhere. You usually have to walk at least a block everyday if you run any kind of errand. I feel like my body is always in shock from the cold Chicago weather as it gets used to the warmth of the stores and buildings. The snow makes street parking really difficult. From getting stuck in the curb’s pile of snow to having to clean off your wind shield of the sticky white stuff from the sky, the snow makes travel really annoying.
I explored my neighborhood’s coffee shops with my sister and forgot to pay the parking meter. AAAHHHHHHH! Don’t worry I didn’t get a ticket, however, I did run out of that coffee shop like a crazy women once I remembered.
The best part about being in the city? Wearing my crazy thrifted holiday sweater out. : )
