The Chain Reaction of Change

Hey all, I’m back! Hi, how’s life? Mine has been pretty crazy. Life. Life doesn’t really slow down, does it? The whirlwind of change has decided to blow my way. Doesn’t change seem to come all at once? When one thing changes in your life it sure can start a chain reaction of changes you couldn’t have expected. Here are just a few things that have changed recently,
  1. I have a boyfriend! What?! He’s pretty great. When people ask me what I like most about Ian I usually tell them how much he loves people. You can tell a lot about a person when you watch how they interact with strangers. He lives by the conviction every person has immeasurable worth.
  2. I filled in as a producer for my day job. My official title is Sound Engineer on Moody Radio Chicago’s morning show, previously called Karl and June Mornings, now called Karl and Crew. However, this past month I filled in as the Producer of the morning show. This basically means I was really, really busy. And really fortunate to have the opportunity to learn and grow professionally and personally.
  3. My best friend and big sister, Juni Felix, the June of Karl and June Mornings left the show, pursuing the other plans God had for her. She loved her job as a Radio Host, but she loved tech and building apps too. We are excited for her! However, my team at the morning show and I have really been grieving a wonderful co-worker leaving.
  4. I took a break from the blog! This was timely since I took up more responsibility at my day job and started dating again. I have been blogging around two years now and I have never taken a break. I decided to push the pause button as I started feeling a little lost as to where I wanted the blog to go. A good friend of mine, an entrepreneur by trade, encouraged me toward a break. I took his advice and I learned one thing, I really love fashion.
That’s all that’s going on with me. The change all happened at once and the first three things were unrelated, but they all affected my blog and my time. All good things, just a huge adjustment! What about you? How’s it going? Did you start school? A new job? What new changes have life brought you that you’ve had to adjust to?
My tee-shirt I thrifted from the Salvation Army. I love these Gauchos from Nordstrom Rack. I wear these large pants all the time to work. I added a large belt because with a wide legged pant you always need to accentuate your waistline. I also added my 90s choker for a reminder of my childhood.
