My favorite Anthropologie store is in Chicago. I say its my favorite because the entire building is pink… and there is free parking. I get a good feeling every time I go there. It has to be the feeling Audrey Hepburn got in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Sometimes what gives you a good feeling doesn’t make sense to anyone, but you. I want to encourage you to do what gives you a good feeling this spring.
I want to let you know what is going on in Anthro this spring. This dress is an example of the spring line at Anthropologie. There is a theme in the dresses this season. Vintage colors. I tried on a dress that is a similar length as the one I bought, but was a vintage pink. Check out my Pinterest board here to see the pink dress. I didn’t buy that one because… sadly… I am on a budget…
The style of this dress reminds me of the dresses from the 30s. Click here to buy this dress on Anthopologie’s site. During this time brighter colors were used and many of the dresses had narrow straps. The shape of the dresses were modeled after greek statues and the way the fabric would lay or cling to the female body. Most of the dresses this spring are classics from an earlier time. Check it out and be prepared for vintage.
I paired this dress with black booties from faded glory and a hat from H&M. Since this dress’s neckline came high and the straps connected in the back I wore an adorable bra from Victoria Secret called the eyelash lace high neck bralette. The bra is comfortable to wear and works well with this style of dress. My necklace is also from Anthropologie. I picked the necklace because it reminds me of the jewlery during the 30s. I don’t think it is on the site anymore, however, there are so many cute necklaces to choose from this season. Many times with day dresses, like the one I am wearing, the wearer would match the dress with a long necklace. A long necklace with a sundress or day dress like this one works well because of the shape of the dress that clings to and flows nicely just like greek statues.
There you have it. Reasons to go to Anthropologie to buy the spring dress line. But only if you have a good feeling about it.
My two words for this dress is Good Feelings
